Copy/Paste Pattern

Objective 

Copy/Paste and use Patterns as necessary.

 

Location

  • Main Menu → Edit → Copy / Paste

        

  • Pop-Up Menu (Right Click Pattern) → Copy (Ctrl + C) / Paste (Ctrl + V)

 

Operation

Copy/Paste Pattern

  1. Select (Edit Pattern) Tool / (Transform Pattern) Tool.
      
  2. Find and click the menu indicated in Location.
    → The copied Pattern will follow the mouse.
      
  3. Click once on the desired location in the 2D Pattern Window to arrange the Pattern.
    → The Pattern will be automatically numbered in the Scene tab under Object Browser to avoid duplication. 

    Icon

    - Holding the Shift key while pasting the pattern will let it be placed horizontally/vertically/45˚diagonally.

    - While running multiple iterations of the program, Patterns can be copied and pasted between the program iterations. (ver. 3.0)

                             

Copy/Paste with Intervals, Number, and Position Input

  1. Select (Edit Pattern) Tool / (Transform Pattern) Tool.
      
  2. Find and click the menu indicated in Location.
    → The copied pattern will follow the mouse.
      
  3. Right-click on the mouse.
    → The Paste window will appear.
      
  4. Enter the Interval, Number of Shapes, or Position.

    IntervalSets the distance between the Patterns that will be pasted.
    Number of ShapesSets the number of copied Patterns that will be pasted.
    Position

    Sets the Position of the center of the copied items from the left, right, top, and bottom of the Pattern outline. (v.2.5.0)

    Icon

    This menu only appears when copying and pasting Internal Shapes.

      

  5. Click OK.
    → Patterns or Internal Shapes will be pasted based on the values entered.
