Line (3D Pattern)

Objective

Draw lines directly on the 3D Garment that can serve as Cut lines. (ver. MD6.5)


Location

  • 3D Garment Window Toolbar →  Edit Line (3D Pattern) Tool / Line (3D Pattern) Tool


Operation

Cut

  1. Click on the menu listed in Location.

  2.  Click on the starting point for the Line on the 3D Garment, drag the mouse, then click again to establish the next point. Repeat this until the 3D Line is complete.

  3. Select the Edit 3D Line tool, then click on the 3D Line.

  4. Right-click on the 3D Line.

  5. Select Cut or Cut & Sew from the pop-up menu.
    → The 3D Garment and its respective 2D Patterns will be cut or cut & sewn based on the selection.

Trace or Convert to Internal Shape

  1. Click on the menu listed in Location.

  2.  Click on the starting point for the Line on the 3D Garment, drag the mouse, then click again to establish the next point. Repeat this until the 3D Line is complete.

  3. Select the Edit 3D Line tool, then click on the 3D Line.

  4. Right-click on the 3D Line.

  5. Select Trace as Internal Shape or Convert to Internal Shape from the pop-up menu.
    → The 3D Garment and its respective 2D Patterns will be traced as an Internal Shape or converted to an Internal Shape.
