Objective

Select multiple points/lines of a Pattern or Internal Shape.

 

Location

1. Select Point/Line

  • Main Menu → 2D Pattern → Edit → Edit Pattern (Z)

  • 2D Toolbar → (Edit Pattern) Tool 

 

2. Select Pattern

  • Main Menu → 2D Pattern → Edit → Transform Pattern (A)

  • 2D Toolbar → (Transform Pattern) Tool

  

Operation

Select Point/Line

  1. Find and click the menu indicated in Location.
      

  2. Click on a point or segment of a Pattern or Internal Shape / Line. 
    → The selected point or segment will be highlighted, indicating it is selected.
    → Should there be overlapping points or segments, a pop-up menu will appear that will allow for selection of the desired point or segment. (ver. MD6.5)
  3. Icon

    Starting in v.2.5.0 , it is not possible to select the entire Pattern by clicking on the face of the Pattern with the Edit Pattern tool. This is to remove the error of accidentally clicking on the face of the Pattern while selecting points or segments.

 

Select Pattern

 

  1. Find and click the menu indicated in Location.
      
  2. Click on the inside of a pattern or Internal Shape / Line. 

 

Icon

Select multiple points or lines of pattern/patterns while holding down the keyboard Shift key.

Pressing Ctrl + A on the keyboard will select the entire pattern.
