Offset as Internal Line along Curve

Objective

Create internal lines between two segments following the curve of the pattern.(Ver. MD 7)

 

Location

  • Right-Click Pop-Up Menu (On Segment) → Offset as Internal Line along Curve

Operation

  1. With the Edit Pattern (Z) tool, select the two pattern outlines between where the internal lines will be created.

    Using the same function, additional internal lines can be created between two internal lines.

    When the pattern outlines or internal lines are divided in multiple segments, hold down the Shift-key on the keyboard to select them all.


  2. Click on the menu indicated in Location.
    → The Offset as Internal Line along Curve window will appear.

  3. Adjust the options below as needed, then select OK:

    NameDescription
    Number of OffsetsSet the number of internal lines to be created.
    OffsetSet the distance between each internal lines.
    Distance to Segment EdgeSet the distance from the pattern outlines for the internal lines.
     Reverse DirectionHorizontally reverse the internal lines' position based on the Distance to Segment Edge.
     Opposite SegmentVertically reverse the internal lines' position based on the Distance to Segment Edge.
    StraightCreate internal lines as straight lines.
    Perpendicular DirectionCreate internal lines perpendicular to the selected pattern outlines.


    → Internal lines will be created based on the above settings.
